Overcoming these issues is a huge achievement, and Tappy Twins is hosting a black-tie event later this year in order to celebrate such an achievement. The event, The Courageous Kids Awards, will not only celebrate the success of the children that Tappy Twins works with but will also help them build a successful future. In order to make this happen, Suzanne was eager for businesses across the West Midlands - which is where Tappy Twins is based - to sponsor the event but most importantly, offer work experience placements to the youngsters she works with.
Raising the profile and awareness of the event was critical for Suzanne, and this is where my services came into play. Having already managed the Tappy Twins social media platforms, this was the first port of call. As well as incorporating the usual facts about EFT and Tappy Twins itself, I also included details about The Courageous Kids Awards and generated some leads as a result.
I did not rely solely on social media however; I also wrote a press release and distributed it to a number of local and national media outlets. One of these, Dudley and Stourbridge News, was particularly influential. As a direct consequence of them using the press release in an article, Suzanne obtained a meeting with her local MP, who undoubtedly would give her a lot of support.
A number of organisations, including Aston Villa FC and The Entertainer, have already given Suzanne and The Courageous Kids Awards their backing and I am highly confident that this will continue to be the case. Knowing that I have helped build awareness and helped generate leads for Suzanne is a great feeling and I firmly believe that the strategy we incorporated was a successful one
The Courageous Kids Awards will take place in November 2015 at the University of Birmingham. For more information, and to support the awards, click here.
