It’s just as important to know your main character… which is you.
Storytelling isn’t just limited to authors either – businesses are full of them, whether they’re still in the start-up phase or have been going for decades.
Many authors take inspiration from what’s around them, either something significant that’s happened to them personally or a something they’ve seen on the news which has left an impact. These personal experiences often lead to authors putting so much emotion into their work that their readers can’t help but feel it too.
Businesses can learn from this classic writing trick. Take a look at your history, your very first customer, why you started your business in the first place. That’s three stories already!
- What happened in the few days leading up to that moment?
- What made your customer choose you?
- How were you able to solve their problems?
Sharing stories is a wonderful experience, both for the author and the reader. Don’t be afraid to share yours! Find out more about my writing services here.
