Stop what you're writing. Take a moment. Breathe.
It's not unusual for you to feel as though you are going nowhere with your writing. There will always be days when the connection you have with your work isn't as strong. But it is always there - it just needs a bit of TLC. Try taking a step back from whatever it is you're working on. Leave it alone for an afternoon or a few days. Recharge. It might be just what you and your story both need.
Strange as it might sound, a little self-doubt is actually a good thing. It shows you care about your work and you want it to succeed. Try listening to that nagging voice in your head - what is it really trying to tell you? Is there something you need to change or do differently?
